Center of Indigenous Innovation and Health Equity (CIIHE) 2.0

Background

The Center of Indigenous Innovation and Health Equity (CIIHE) 2.0 began in Fall 2023. For this five-year project, CIHRP will expand its CIIHE 1.0 partnerships to include five additional sites. These partnerships include the Nome Eskimo Community, the Yurok Tribe, Indian Health Care Santa Clara Valley, Turtle Mountain Community College, Dream of Wild Health, the Osage Nation, Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, the Southcentral Foundation, and the Center for Alaska Native Health Research at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Details

This project will continue to focus on building community research capacity through education, training, research, evaluation and dissemination with the goal of restoring Indigenous food systems and traditional food practices to promote healthy eating and reduce diet-related health disparities.
