Indigenous Foodways and Health (IFH)

The Indigenous Foodways and Health (IFH) initiative began in 2023. For this three-year initiative, CIHRP is partnering with Chickasaw Nation, Choctaw Nation, Muscogee Creek Nation, Quapaw Nation, Cherokee Nation American Indian Resource Center, and Burning Cedar Sovereign Wellness.

Over three years, IFH aims to enhance community research capabilities, collect vital population health data, implement sustainable Indigenous interventions promoting healthy eating, and share findings for broader dissemination and policy development.
